Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Commemorated in Singapore
On the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, the High Commissioner of India in Singapore paid tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered symbol of tribal pride, courage, and resistance.
On 15th November, 2026,representatives from BiJhar, along with members of other Indian community organisations in Singapore, participated in the commemorative event. The gathering honoured India’s rich tribal heritage and celebrated the invaluable contributions of its indigenous communities.
One Stop Centre Inaugurated in Singapore
BiJhar Singapore was honoured to be invited by the High Commission of India in Singapore to attend the inauguration of the One Stop Centre (OSC), held on 15 December at Shangri-La Singapore.
This meaningful initiative aims to empower and support Indian women in distress by providing legal, medical, psychological, and community assistance.
BiJhar is proud to be associated with this impactful effort and remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote the safety, dignity, and well-being of the Indian community in Singapore.
Republic Day Celebrations in Singapore
On the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day, the Indian community in Singapore came together to celebrate the nation’s cherished values of democracy, unity, and constitutionalism.
The Hon’ble High Commissioner of India unfurled the Tricolour at the High Commission of India, Singapore, in a solemn and inspiring ceremony.
BIJhar was honoured to attend the event alongside fellow Indians overseas. The celebration reaffirmed our deep connection with the motherland and reminded us of our shared responsibilities as global citizens rooted in Indian values.
77th Republic Day Reception in Singapore
On the evening of 27 January 2026, the High Commission of India in Singapore commemorated India’s 77th Republic Day with a grand reception and cultural programme.
The event brought together Members of Parliament, diplomats, business leaders, media representatives, community leaders, and members of the academic community.
BIJhar was proud to attend this significant celebration, honouring India’s democratic spirit, unity, and rich cultural heritage.
Interaction with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
BIJhar team had the privilege of attending an interaction with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, organised by the High Commission of India in Singapore on 23 February 2026 at the OWIS Auditorium, One World International School Digital Campus.
The event brought together members of the Indian community in Singapore for an engaging and insightful session. Shri Yogi Adityanath shared his vision for Uttar Pradesh’s development and growth, highlighting progress in infrastructure, investment opportunities, and initiatives to strengthen global partnerships.
